Nickname: Mother of Mouths
Danger Ranking: 4E
First Reported: 1976-10-14 — Port Angeles, WA

Summary:
Mother of Mouths is a subterranean biological anomaly located beneath an abandoned lighthouse near the Olympic Peninsula coast. The entity is not a singular organism but a sprawling flesh-composite web of muscle, cartilage, and orifices embedded in the bedrock. The mouths — ranging in size from a human infant’s to automobile-sized maws — are constantly whispering, wailing, or muttering nonsense, though some speech patterns match known deceased individuals, particularly missing persons.

What distinguishes Mother of Mouths from other anomalies is its psychic pull. People who sleep within a 0.8 km radius of the site report dreams of "whispering oceans" or "the deep gums of G5od." Exposure over several nights leads to irreversible psychological decline, extreme dental mutations, and eventual disappearance. Victims are often found weeks later, embedded in the entity’s flesh.

Its full biological parameters are unknown. Borehole sensors suggest it expands several kilometers beneath the surface, with unexplored chambers still active.

Known Properties:

Containment Procedure:
The lighthouse has been sealed and surrounded with PARADIGM-issue deterrent fencing. Entry is restricted to Level 4 personnel with neural dampeners and dental shielding.

Visitors must not remain overnight under any circumstance.

Exploratory missions into the underground site have ceased following the loss of three Class B specialists in 1990. All excavation efforts are suspended until an effective psychological barrier is developed.

Whispers recorded near the site must be reviewed in triplicate by rotated staff teams to prevent subconscious imprinting.

Recommendation:
No further exploration permitted. Maintain deterrent fencing and falsified gas leak signage. Keep surrounding population density low. Prepare containment protocols in the event of coastal seismic activity potentially disrupting entity stability.

Do not attempt to “interpret” the whispers. No voice is your own.
