Echoes_004–2B
Nickname: “Red Choir”
Danger Ranking: 2B
First Reported: 1969-12-04, Wickersham Logging Camp, Whatcom County, WA
Summary:
Echoes_004–2B, referred to as “Red Choir,” is a recurring acoustic anomaly manifesting within dense coniferous forests in the Pacific Northwest. The phenomenon begins with an untraceable harmonic hum, gradually resolving into a choral arrangement in an unidentifiable language. Witnesses describe the voices as “childlike but ancient,” and always numbering seven.
The Red Choir is only audible to solitary individuals between the hours of 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM local time, and only when the individual is at least 1.5 miles from any manmade structure with power or plumbing. Those who remain stationary and silent during the manifestation report an overwhelming sense of comfort and safety. However, individuals who attempt to record, approach, or speak during the event suffer from immediate disorientation, auditory bleeding, and—in 4 documented cases—total disappearance.
Recordings of the Choir have never survived past dawn. Analog and digital devices capture only low-frequency distortion when played back, often destroying the playback equipment in the process. Spectral analysis of one salvaged reel-to-reel tape revealed harmonic structures not typically found in human vocalization.

Containment Procedure:
Designated Zone: Black Pine Reserve (classified as a national wildlife sanctuary as cover). Entry is restricted between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. Motion-activated low-frequency emitters have been installed to disrupt potential echo events. PARADIGM field teams sweep weekly for signs of spontaneous manifestation outside the Zone.
Individuals reporting the Choir outside containment boundaries are to be detained and assessed for memetic contamination. Exposure logs must be recorded in hard copy and stored in physical archive only.

Recommendation:
Further study not recommended due to psychological risks. Zone should remain isolated indefinitely. Continue forest-wide acoustic monitoring. All Choir events must be logged but not pursued.
